I bought this for Aryi as one of his Christmas presents. He loves to play with sensory bins. He especially loves these Knowledge Crate ones. We have not talked about space much. I thought this could be a good introduction.

These crates are sold for $39.99. If you try to buy everything off of Amazon to remake this crate from nothing, you would have to spend $125.57. Is it worth it? Just based off of that, yes.
I think we get so much value out of these sensory bins. Aryi plays with them for hours and hours. They are some of his favorite things he got for Christmas. I feel like they help us learn about new things in an exciting way.
