For some background introduction information on toy rotations see my first toy rotation blog at by clicking the link.
Last week’s toys and books:
We used every single toy that was out over the last week and a half. They are starting to get really old being out this long and Aryi is starting to get bored. It is definitely time to pull out some new stuff.
This week’s toys and books:
This week I wanted to bring out the older toy to see if there is still interest and play there. I did mix in a few toys that are not super old, but most of them are older toys that have already been mastered. Everything listed below in order of the pictures.
Stuffy Basket – Always out and available.
Ball Basket – Always out and available.
Music Basket – Always out and available. I am switching these out every few weeks. I have found it useful to keep out instruments. They can keep him busy without him needing me.
Metronome (Lovevery)
Bells (Lovevery)
Shakers (Kiwico)
Blocks with Clear Middles (Kiwico) – Aryi loved this when we first pulled it out. I wonder if he will do the puzzle part of it now. He can stack them, look through the different colored holes, and whatever other fun things he comes up with.
Button Board (Lovevery) – This toy can keep Aryi interested for a while, I am hoping we can move on to harder patterns this week.
Poster (Lovevery) – This is an oldie. Interested to see if Aryi can still play with this.
Stacker (Lovevery) – This is an oldie. Interested to see if Aryi can still play with this.
Stacker (Lovevery) – This is an oldie. Interested to see if Aryi can still play with this.
2 Sided Puzzle (Lovevery) – This puzzle is so cool. All puzzles should have two sides like this. I am hoping Aryi can get better and completing this puzzle without help.
Extra Stuff Basket – This will always be out and available now. Basically this is a basket of stuff to do when we get bored with what is out. It includes coloring books, ABC flashcards, outdoor activity flashcards, animals, ISPYS, Library crafts and extra crafts we didn’t get to yet.
Itsy Bitsy Spider Prints (ThisMomThing on Etsy) – These are the printables I made. We love to go over these.
Letter coloring sheets and tracing sheets – Always out and available.
Books – Always out and available.
Duplo Blocks (gift but you can find it on Amazon) – Always out and available.
Magnetic Tiles (Amazon) – Always out and available.
Blockset (Lovevery) – Always out and available.

Shape Sorter (Amazon) – This is an oldie. Interested to see if Aryi can still play with this.
Ready to go Pee/Poop Books (Lovevery) – We are planning on potty training soon, so I wanted to feature these books.
Knowledge Crate Prints (Knowledge Crates/ThisMomThing on Etsy) – These are fun songs and fingerplays to learn with Aryi.
Ocean Sensory Bin (Knowledge Crates) – For when we have more than 30 minutes to pull out something a little messy.
Eric Carle Sensory Bin (Knowledge Crates) – For when we have more than 30 minutes to pull out something a little messy.
Letter Basket:
There won’t be a letter basket this week. There was a mix up at the library. We didn’t get our books. We will be coming back to it next week.
Number Basket:
I am keeping this number basket pretty much the same. I put the tactile flashcards back in. I have peg boards with the numbers 1-10. I also have all of our number books in here: ”Numbers”, “How Many?”, “Counting with Barefoot Critters”, “Big and Little”, “Let’s Count”, “Baby Math”, “Poppy’s Surprise”, “Few and Many”, and “Pop-up Peekaboo Numbers”. I also threw in some wooden animals to use as manipulatives. I have 1 pig, 2 lions, and 3 bears. The bears can also be broken down, 1 is a polar bear and 2 are brown bears. Two of the animals are little and three of the animals are big. I play number videos that I find on youtube sometimes.
