Wonder Play Guide

You get a Wonder Play Guide in each crate that is specific for that age range and development. Dr. D answers a question, there are panda tips, you get instructions for how to play with each of the toys in the crate, and DIY or cheap activities to do. This is not duplicable. I appreciate the wealth of information in these play guides very much. I always love to sit down and open these up after getting a new kit and see what I can learn about this stage.

Pop-Up Rocket Puzzle

This puzzle is super cute, but just not advanced enough for Aryi. He mastered peg puzzles like this when he was one. He finishes it with half the time left. He has pretty much grown out of this toy before he even got it. It is of a nice quality, but it should be in an earlier crate. Amazon dupe is about the same price.

Spinning Shape Puzzle

This puzzle is cute, but way to young for Aryi. He would have mastered this by age 1. This is simply a shape puzzle where you have to twist around and uncover the pieces to put them in or take them out. He did the puzzle immediately and then was uninterested. There are shape puzzles, nothing like this, but shape puzzles on Amazon. It costs $8 less.

Jungle Tree Stacker

This jungle tree is a cute little toy. Aryi hasn’t been too interested in it, but it is a toy I think he will eventually get a lot of use out of. It is great for fine motor skills with the stacking and having the animals hanging. I wish the animals were wooden or plastic. The felt is just not the best material. I found an odd kind of stacking tree on Amazon for basically the same price.

Peek-a-Zoo Puzzle Box

This is the saving grace of this box. This is the only toy that makes since for this age. Aryi is working on locks now. This cute box has locked cubbies filled with little wooden animals and scenes of where they live. This is a great toy. You match the shapes, colors, and animals. There is a ton of opportunity for fun and learning with this toy. I found a dupe that is $4 cheaper, but it is not nearly as cool.

‘Spin and Spot: At the Park’

Aryi likes this book. He loves the spinning. It is again too young for him. We are reading paper backs now and this is just too immature. It is a lot cheaper in the crate. The same book on Amazon is $6 more.

$82 + tax/crate for 6 crates ($492 + tax total) – This is the one I bought and will be

comparing to.

No. This crate is not worth it. It is cheaper to get the dupes and all of these toys are too young for this age group. I don’t know if my son in particular is just amazing at puzzles, but I don’t think it is that simple. A lot of their crates seem immature, this one is just extreme to me. The saving grace of this crate is the lock box. I would probably still buy it for that, wishing I could just buy the lock box. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
