What’s in My Diaper Bag? Mom of a 17 month old

First I want to mention that I am so glad that I got this big backpack for my diaper bag. It holds so many things. I find that if I’m ever in a situation where I wish I had something, I just add it to my bag so I can have it next time I need it. I’m also glad I went with a more gender neutral bag since my husband watches my son twice a week while I work (I watch him 5 times a week while my husband works). We just have one bag that stays packed and stays with our son and we don’t have to have two separate bags. When I go to work I just grab my wallet and keys and put them in my purse and the bag is still ready to go for my husband. He never has to think about it because everything he might need is there.

Diaper things

1. Diapers – Always need a few of these. I usually pack day and overnight diapers. 

2. Wipes – I love water wipes because I can use them anywhere, like a nasty spaghetti face, as well as the diaper area. 

3. Diaper changing mat

Medicine/medicine type things

1. Benadryl – Aryi has gotten hives any time he has had peanuts. I have this just in case he gets them.  

2. Ibuprofen/Tylenol – Mainly for a bad teething day. 

3. Gum gel – I have both daytime and nighttime teething gels in case Aryi needs them. 

4. Oral Syringes – These are for administering Benadryl or Ibuprofen/Tylenol. 

5. Eye drops (tears) – One time we were at the zoo and Aryi got sunscreen in his eyes. I wish I had something like this, but I didn’t, so I had to try to help him with some water from a water bottle and a towel on his eyes. I always have eye drops now.

1. Outfit – Just incase Aryi has a big blowout or gets that spaghetti all over himself.

5. Moby carrier – Aryi loves to be carried in this when he is sleepy. It puts him right to sleep. This came in handy the other day when he fell asleep in the car on the way to Barnes and Noble. I walked around the store with him in my Moby pouch. 

Food things – It’s just always good to have extra snacks for Aryi.

Toy stuff

1. Passy – Aryi still needs his passy when he is sleepy, but he will also teethe on his passy and the strap

2. Teether – He is teething right now and loves to have something to chew on. 

3. Small book – Great for a time when he needs to stay busy like waiting for food or in the car. 

Other

1. Grocery bag – It’s always nice to have a bag for wet clothes, diapers, etc.
