Valentine’s Day Basket with Sensory Bin

2024 Valentine's Day Basket with Sensory Bins

January 18, 2024

I love to make holiday baskets for Aryi to enjoy as we celebrate. I feel like my baskets help him learn a little bit about the holiday ahead of time. We get to celebrate for an entire month with fun little toys.

Card (Dollar tree) – $1.75

I thought it would be really cute to make a card for Aryi every year for Valentine’s day. My husband and I can each write a little love letter to him in it. I can save them up for him for when he is bigger in a little memory box. I think the waffle will be for Aryi and the other card will be for my husband. I think we will do a finger paint card for my husband from Aryi.

Balloons (Dollar tree) – $1.75 each

Aryi loves a good balloon. He also loves ice cream. I thought these would be perfect for him, especially the ice cream cone.

Books (from last year or from the library) – $0.00

I think books, especially library books, are a great way to celebrate a holiday cheaply. Aryi loves a good book, and these teach about love and Valentine’s Day.

Sweat suit (Amazon) – $18.99

I love to have cute outfits for Aryi for each holiday. I saw this and thought. Oh, yes he is Mama’s Valentine. So Cute!!

T-shirt (Amazon) – $24.83

I love this little shirt. I like that it isn’t specifically Valentin’s day, so it can be worn after.

Sweatshirt (Target)

I lost it when I saw this Sweatshirt. I love the origami hearts and dinos. This is perfect for a little toddler’s Valentine’s Day. And again, it can be worn after too.

Avocado (Walmart) – $2.97

Aryi loves Avocados, and I love to put a stuffy in holiday baskets. I thought this was a great little add in.

Pig (Amazon) – $17.94

I love to add a Holztiger wooden Animal to each holiday basket. One day we will have them all collected and Aryi will be able to pass down these beautiful toys. I obviously picked the pig because it is pink.

Glasses (Dollar tree) – $1.75

Aryi is obsessed with my glasses, so I love to add some glasses to his baskets.

Straws (Dollar tree) – $1.75

I don’t know how much use we will be getting out of these this year, but I thought these were so much fun.

Cookie cutters and sprinkles (Target)

We really love to make cookies with Aryi. He LOVES to eat and make cookies. I got these heart shaped cutters and sprinkles to make our cookies extra festive.

Loofah (Dollar tree) – $1.75

Aryi loves a loofah and he loves ice cream. I saw this in the dollar tree and I was like, Aryi must have that.

Crafts (Dollar tree) – $1.75 each

Aryi loves these cheap little crafts that you can get at the dollar tree. He really loves to glue and these are fun things to glue together.

Heart shaped Ladybug

Bear, Elephant, and Dog

Valentine’s Dinos

Stickers (Dollar tree) – $1.75

We do stickers for every holiday. It is a great little activity for fine motor skills.

Sensory Supplies from craft set

I already had all of this in a big craft set. I think it was a great investment to buy that. It just keeps on giving.

Buckets (Dollar tree) – $1.75 each

I thought these little baskets were the cutest. They will be great for sensory play, scooping, and dumping.

Trees (Target)

I saw these and thought it would be so much fun to have a tree decorating bin like I made for Christmas. These are so cute.

Slinkys and Beads (Dollar tree) – $1.75 each

These were just some cheap easy toys to add into a basket.

MandMs and Marshmallows (Dollar tree) – $1.75 each

These are for my Valentine’s Trail mix sensory bin.

Sensory Bin 1

Playdough and Cookie Cutters

These play dough are from the Knowlage crate and play dough kits we got for Christmas. I just had these cookie cutters. I thought it would be fun to put it all together.

Sensory Bin 2

Classic Rice Bin

This bin has red, purple, and pink rice, red bow tie pasta, buckets, pom poms, cupcake liners, slinkys, and some pipe cleaners. This is a lot in one bin. I will probably pull everything out and set it beside the rice container so Aryi can pick what to play with. I know this will be a lot of fun.

Sensory Bin 3

Valentine’s Trees

This is just Valentine’s trees and pom poms. The plan is to decorate the trees like a Christmas tree.

Edible Sensory Bin 1

Valentine’s Trail Mix

This is just some colorful cereal from Trader Joe’s, Valentine’s MandMs, and Valentine’s marshmallows. I thought this would be super fun and

delicious.
