Kiwico Review 7: Panda Crate Count With Me With Book Bundle Book Numbers

Kiwico Review 7: Panda Crate Count with Me with Book Bundle Book Numbers

March 7, 2024

My son was born prematurely. He was born at 26 weeks and 6 days (3 months and 1 day early). If this box is for a baby 13-18 months, that means it should work for Aryi 16-21 months, in theory. I do remember around this time is when Ayri started to catch up in his development and the toys started to make more sense for his development. I feel that all of this makes our experience with development and play particularly unique.

Wonder Play Guide

I am not quite sure, but I do think that this is when I started getting the Play Guides instead of the Magazine and instruction cards. Having everything in one bound guide is far more superior than the previous cards and magazine. Unfortunately, I am not able to see exactly which came in this crate, because I can not find it right now.

Stacking Cups

These cups are nothing special. We have 4 sets of stacking cups. I don’t know how that happened. But, they are all the same (except the Lovevery ones that blow all the others out of the water). I do like that this set comes with a Poppy cup to sit on top of your tower, but that is really about all of the uniqueness happening here. Quality is normal for this type of toy. I will say that this crate has a great theme. We are learning to count and the toys reflect that. You are learning early math skills like counting and spatial awareness when playing with this toy. The dupe I found would cost a few dollars more. You can get them a little cheaper. I picked this one because of the little cat on top.

Shape Puzzles with Pouch

I don’t have a picture of the pouch, sorry. But, it is just a little cloth bag. Aryi absolutely loves this puzzle. He knows a triangle, circle, and square now. I think it is mainly because of this puzzle. Every time I pull this out he gravitates towards it. I think he feels super accomplished to be able to put this together on his own. Again, I love a theme, and they have basically set up your toy rotation theme for you. With this toy you are learning about shapes. That is an early math skill. The dupe I found is about $5 more. It comes with 5 shapes instead of 3, a board to put all of your shapes on, and no pouch.

Cylinder Block Puzzle

This puzzle is super cute. It does have the same problem the other painted wooden toys from Kiwico have that the paint chips so bad and just comes off everywhere. This is a great toy for early shape, spatial awareness, and color skills. You can get a dupe for almost 3 times the price on amazon.

Counting Cards

These cards are super fun. Each card has a number on one side and a tactile shape to correspond with the number on the other side. This is a super fun way to explore shapes and numbers. Aryi loves to feel the shapes and count them. I love these cards. They are nice quality. The dupe I found is over twice the price.

Poppy’s Surprise

I love the Poppy series, unfortunately Aryi does not. This one in particular is super cute. You count Poppy’s turtle friends as they arrive at her party, each bringing something fun with them.

Numbers

I am not the biggest fan of this book. It is the same author as the Colors book we got in an earlier kit. It is ugly. Aryi likes it though, so that is great. You can get the same book on Amazon. The dupe works out to be a little cheaper just do the breakdown of the crate with 6 items.

Worth it?

Amazon Dupes total out to be $72.45 + tax.

The Panda crate can come in a few buying options. I paid for 12 crates for 2 years (crates come every 2 months) at $538.20 + tax. This also included the option to get an extra book in each crate.

$538.20 for 12 crates is $44.85 per crate

Clearly this crate is worth the price. This is one of my favorite crates from Kiwico. Aryi loves to count and these are some of our favorite counting toys. It is unfortunate that you do not get to pick the crate that you want, they are just sent based on age because I would fully recommend this crate.
