Plans To Do 1000 Hours Outside (w Printables)
June 3, 2024
Our family will be embarking on 1000 hours outside starting this July. I thought it best to do a July-June year instead of a calendar year for this challenge based on the climate that we live in. I think it will be easier for us to reach 1000 hours by doing it this way. In Louisiana, we have beautiful weather for most of the winter. Spring and fall are on the hotter side, but manageable. Summer is unmanageable. Most of the time outside we will get from June to August will have to involve a pool with temperatures in the 100s and crazy high humidity (we need gills down here). The 1000 hours we will be tracking is Aryi’s time. If Aryi is outside with me for 3 hours, then outside with his dad for 1 after work, that will be 4 hours.
I wanted a cute tracker for us to track our time, so I made one. I made one grid for Aryi to put stickers for every hour. There are 100 squares on each page, so I will need `10 pages for the year. I also thought it would be fun to write the date in each square or just check it off. While I was making trackers, I thought it would be great to have one that I could write what we did, so I made one like that too. I am sharing these below for free.
