For some background introduction information on toy rotations see my first toy rotation blog at by clicking the link.
Last week’s toys and books:
Farm is one of the best themes. There are so many things that you can talk about. I can talk about animals, plants, and bugs. We enjoyed playing with everything involved in this theme. We even had some great outings related to the farm and enjoyed some farm shows.
This week’s toys and books:
This week I thought I would pull back out dinosaurs. We are going to see a dinosaur exhibit, that is why I wanted to pull out the dinosaurs. I will also pull out vehicles to fill the empty spaces.
Airplane (Carter’s) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars. I got this when Aryi was younger and obsessed with airplanes. He is not as obsessed with them anymore, but he still likes them.
Poppy Car (Kiwico) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars. These cars are cool. I love that they pull back and go forward. Having so many different vehicles that do different things is great.
Pull Bus (Kiwico) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars. This bus pulls. It can help with our counting and color matching.
Peg People Car (Lovevery) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars.
Dinosaur Books – I pulled this out because it goes with the dinosaurs.
Bus (Lovevery) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars. This bus is super fun. We can sing wheels on the bus. He loves the little peg people.
Dot Catcher (Lovevery) – I had an extra space to fill so I pulled out a few other things. This is a great color matching toy.
Alphabet Monster (Kiwico) – I had an extra space to fill so I pulled out a few other things. This toy is super cute. The monster eats little alphabet coins. The coins have letters and food items on them for the monster to eat. I thought this was fun since Halloween is coming and it will be full of monsters.
Bugs (Lovevery) – I had an extra space to fill so I pulled out a few other things. We are still working on the bug fear.
Vehicles (Melissa and Doug) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars.
Construction Vehicle Puzzle (Gift) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars.
Dinosaur Puzzle (Gift) – I pulled this out because it goes with the dinosaurs.
Shape Puzzle (Lovevery) – I had an extra space to fill so I pulled out a few other things. This puzzle is kind of new and there is an opportunity to talk about shapes, colors, and numbers with this toy.
Dinosaurs and Flashcards (Knowledge Crate) – I pulled this out because it goes with the dinosaurs. We can match the dinosaurs to the flashcards and work on dinosaur names.
Dinosaur Yoga (Knowledge Crate) – I pulled this out because it goes with the dinosaurs. I love this because it gets Aryi moving and laughing.
Little People (Gifts) – I pull this out just because it goes with the cars. Aryi loves his little people. They have always been a huge hit.
Halloween Tent/Books – With Halloween coming up, I thought a Halloween tent was perfect.
Check out my playlists. I have number playlists, letter playlists, and a morning binder playlists.
Sensory Bins:
Bugs – Aryi has been scared of bugs for a while. I am trying to work on that with him.
Weather (Knowledge Crate) – I will also be leaving this out indefinitely.
Dinosaurs (Knowledge Crate) – I am just leaving out this dinosaur sensory bin indefinitely.
Play foam – I can not believe this foam is still good. Aryi has been playing with it since Easter. I will leave it out as long as it is good.
Halloween – I put out our Halloween sensory bin with our Halloween basket and books, so we can start getting into the spirit.
Halloween (Knowledge Crate) – I got the Halloween bin from Knowledge crate. I thought it was too fun to pass up. The potion possibilities are endless.
Homeschool Cart:
We have an alphabet shelf, an extra things to do shelf, and the top shelf holds our current playing preschool curriculum, morning binder, and activities as well as the books we will need.
