Knowledge Crate Review 8: Dinosour Collection

Knowledge Crate Review 8: Dinosour Collection

November 12, 2024

Disclaimer

This Knowledge crate is supposed to be for children who are preschool aged, meaning 3+. Aryi is now 2 as I write this. I thought I would get it anyway. I did get the one WITHOUT water beads. I know Aryi won’t be able to do everything that comes in the crate, but I think we could do enough that would make it worth the purchase. I also thought, whatever we don’t use, I can keep it for mommy preschool when he is actually 3.

Dinosaur Mini Crate

Information Cards

These cards are very useful and give instructions for any activity included that needs instructions.

Book

This Dinosaur book is a little too advanced for Aryi, but he loves the pictures and will grow into it.

Prints

We always love the Knowledge Crate Prints. The ISPYS are great, I love that one is almost always included. This dino yoga was so much fun. We were cracking up when Aryi was being an egg. He loves silly things like this. The story map I will put away for later.

Dinosaur Figures and Flashcards

These figures are great. They are super realistic and you can tell the difference between the types of dinosaurs. The flashcards are also great. They are full of information and the pictures are great. The figures and pictures match perfectly. It is great to be able to match the figure to the picture.

Sensory Play

This crate includes sand, figures, and foliage to create a small sensory bin. I took all of the sensory supplies and added them to the busy bin.

Art

I love the 3 D dinosaurs included. Me and Aryi painted them, then I put them together. They are beautiful and a great together activity.

Worth it?

Is it worth it? Yes. It is worth it. Clearly, it is 3 times less to buy the crate than it would be to buy everything separately. We are learning tons about dinosaurs. I barely knew anything about them before this, so I am learning too. We had tons of fun putting together the 3D dinos and tons of fun playing with the figures.

Dinosaur Busy Bin

Busy Bin

The busy bin is great! Aryi loves to ask me to pull it out. He loves to play in the sand and make the dinos rawr. I love that they gave 2 different colored sand. This is the first time I got one of these without the bin. I appreciated the label that came with it, but I definitely think I will be buying the bins from now on.

Worth it?

It is less than half the price to just go ahead and buy the Knowledge crate bin. I love their bins. They are absolutely beautiful. I think it will last a long time. The only thing that may need to be replaced is the sand. Other than that it will last forever. It is so worth it.

Dinosaur Busy Bucket

The price of the busy bucket does not make sense for us. We have play foam, play dough, and kinetic sand. We have tons of figures. We have boxes. I could make them all for free with the things I have already.
