Spinning Color and Dry Erase Board

This toy is cool. It has spinners made up of primary colors. You can attach the spinners to the clear board and spin them so that they cover each other to show secondary colors. This toy is about color mixing. It is great for working on that concept. A dry erase board is always good too. It is also good for fidgeting. Now, what I DID NOT like about this toy is all the little pieces that are easy for a 3 year old to pull off and put in their mouth. I personally know I can not leave my child alone with a toy like this. PLEASE be mindful if you buy this,  or not your child is ready for this toy. This could have been completely avoided if the spinners were pre made and you could just suction them to the board. This Dupe is about $8 more, but a poor substitution made up of partially related toys that don’t have the same color learning. However, in my opinion the Kiwico toy is unsafe for my child in particular.

Amazon Dupe: $8.69 + $11.85

Kiwico: $8

Tye Dye Bag

Making this bag was so much fun. I loved this activity. We still have the bag and it is fun for Aryi to play with, put items in and bring them with him. It is the perfect sized little bag for a 3 year old. I liked that instead of regular dye that can cause a huge mess, this came with little scraps of paper that the child can use to create their design on their bag. Then they got to dump water on it (what does a 3 year old love more than dumping water). Then we even got cloud stickers to decorate. This was super user friendly and you got a bag that you can use for forever. The Dupe is about $12 more and would be extremely less user friendly.

A Colorful Day

This book is super cute and mentions color mixing. The characters don’t have green. They mix yellow and blue to make green. This can start a great conversation on color mixing and add to the other items in the crate. The Dupe is about $5 less.

Amazon Dupe: $6.99

Kiwico: $8

Sky Color

We love this book. It talks about how the sky isn’t just blue, solving the problem of painting without blue. It is beautiful and artistic. We have another book in this series “Ish” and we love that one too. The same book on Amazon is about $1 less.

Amazon Dupe: $10.29

Kiwico: $12.00

Based on the information above, this box is absolutely worth it. It is close to half the price of the dupes. Overall we did love every single item in the crate with my exception of the problem of the small pieces (that are completely unnecessary to the toy). With all of that said, would I buy this again? No. I would not buy it again, I wouldn’t buy the dupes (maybe the tye dye bag). Overall I find the quality of Kiwico (especially this sprout crate) to be very cheap. I have had problems with their customer service and not receiving items in the past. I have canceled my subscription with a few more prepaid boxes coming. I find higher quality in boxes like Lovevery and Knowledge Crate and don’t want to waste my money on lower quality toys like the ones in the Sprout crates.
