Disclaimer – I am not a nutritionist or an expert in nutrition in any way. I am just a mom sharing what my son ate on this day. This is not a meal plan or a guide for anyone else. This is just what works for us.
Milk – 06:00am – 240mL/8oz whole cow’s milk
Aryi started his day off with a bottle of milk as usual.
Breakfast – 08:00am – 2 egg bites and the last about ⅓ of a pouch
Egg bites are one of the few ways I can get Aryi to eat eggs. The pouch is from his snack he didn’t finish the day before.
Snack 1 – did not need morning snack this day
Aryi was so full from breakfast he did not want a snack.
Lunch – 10:30am – Curry potatoes and chickpeas over rice
My husband makes curry often. He will make it not spicy so that Aryi can eat it. He actually loves it. I mushed up the garbanzo beans so they are easier for Aryi to chew.
Milk – 12:00pm – 240mL/8oz whole cow’s milk with vitamin
Snack 2 – 03:00pm – Grain bar
Snack 3 – 04:00pm – Pouch
Dinner – 05:30pm – Meatballs and pasta with mixed vegetables
Such an easy meal. Frozen meatballs, Stouffers meatballs in sauce, or homemade meatballs, they all work. I made a Stoffers meatballs in sauce in the oven with some pasta I boiled and a microwave bag of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.
Milk – 07:00pm – 180mL/6oz Frozen breast milk
I pumped for 11 months. I have, maybe, 10 bags of breast milk left. I thaw one every few days to give to Aryi. He drinks less of this than cow’s milk. The nurses in the NICU said “you have very fatty milk”. So, maybe it is more filling. I don’t really know, but he drinks less of the breast milk. He drank almost the entire bottle.
