Kiwico Review 8: Panda Crate, Let's Move! with Book Bundle Book From Head To Toe
March 12, 2024
My son was born prematurely. He was born at 26 weeks and 6 days (3 months and 1 day early). If this box is for a baby 13-18 months, that means it should work for Aryi 16-21 months, in theory. Aryi was starting to catch up to his age at about a year. He is now fully caught up and surpassed developmental milestones for his age. That means these toys should be appropriate for him now. We are very proud of how far he has come. I feel that all of this makes our experience with development and play particularly unique.
Wonder Play Guide
We are fully in the new versions of the kits now. This means we get the Play Guides instead of Wonder Magazine and instruction cards. Having everything in one bound guide is far more superior than the previous cards and magazine. This Play guide talks a lot about motor skills. Dr. D answers a question on babies throwing, pushing, knocking things down and hitting. There are panda tips on motor skills, instructions on how to play with the toys in the kit, and other ways to play.

Water Cycle Bath Toys (3 toys)
Aryi enjoys these bath toys so much. Baths are probably his favorite time of the day. You have a full weather set to explore. There was a sunshine scoop, a cloud for creating rain, a slide, and 2 raindrops. This cloud has a big hole in it. You can use the sun scooper to dump water into the cloud and watch it come out the bottom and go down the slide. You can also stick the rain drops through the hole and watch them go down the slide. Aryi has taken to throwing his bath animals down the slide as well. We really love this bath toy set. I found two different dupes on Amazon. One you can dump water down like these toys and the other is just a cloud and raindrop. Both are less expensive than the Kiwico toys, but neither are as complete as this Kiwico weather set.

Peekaboo Pull Bus
This pull bus is so fun. When you pull it around, the little peg people jump up and down in their seats. I like that the windows are color coated to match the people. You get some color matching practice there. The people are numbered on one side with the matching number of dots on the other side. This dupe is $5 more. You can not pull the bus or match colors or work on numbers, but you do get to match animals.

Rainbow Balls
These balls are so much fun. Aryi is ball crazy. Balls are definitely his favoriteI toy, so when we get more balls he couldn’t be happier. I love that these balls go with the weather theme, one being a rainbow and the other looking like rainbow raindrops. I found a dupe of one out of the two balls, but it is over twice the price.

From Head To Toe
This book is so cute. It was written by the same person that wrote Brown Bear, Brown Bear, so there are similar pictures. I love that this book gets your baby moving. You bend your neck and shake your head, move your arms like a monkey. You can get the same book on Amazon. Due to my price breakdown, the one on Amazon is like $6 more.

Worth it?
Amazon Dupes total out to be $62.76 or $56.76 + tax depending on which bath dupes you would choose.
The Panda crate can come in a few buying options. I paid for 12 crates for 2 years (crates come every 2 months) at $538.20 + tax. This also included the option to get an extra book in each crate.
$538.20 for 12 crates is $44.85 per crate
Clearly if you are just comparing just the prices this kit is worth it. We had oodles and oodles of fun. We do not have a ton of bath toys, just a few animals. So, this was particularly nice to get.
