For some background introduction information on toy rotations see my first toy rotation blog at by clicking the link.

Last week’s toys and books:

We had tons of fun with eggs and dinosaurs last week. I really loved that we were able to incorporate a trip to the zoo to see the dinosaur exhibit. I am hoping to plan more “field trips” like this related to the things we talk about.

This week’s toys and books:

This week we will be talking about farms in our playing preschool. I will be reflecting this in the toys I pull and a few outings. I am planning for us to go to my sister’s house. There is a farm behind her house. We can see the cows and birds and donkeys. We will also be going to a small Children’s Discovery Center that has a farm with a milking cow, chicken coup, and garden.

Garden (Kiwico) – This garden is super cute. I love how you can pick the veggies from the dirt. This is perfect for our farm theme.

Eggs (Amazon) – I thought to leave out these eggs. Aryi loves them and chickens lay eggs on the farm, so it just made sense.

Farm books – Extra books never hurt. I pulled any extra farm books we had.

Flower (Lovevery) – These are fun. Another “farm”/gardening toy.

Insects (Lovevery) – Insects are all over the plants. They are even needed for plants to grow. This is a great way to talk about life cycles.

Bunnies (Lovevery) – Some farms have bunnies.

Farm busy board (Kiwico) – This is a cute little busy board Aryi got when he was tiny. He still enjoys it though.

Garden puzzle (Lovevery) – This is a cute little puzzle that fits the theme. Aryi has mastered it, but he can still play with it.

Fall tree and squirrel (Kiwico) – I love this stacking treat. It is great for fall, since there are different colored leaves.

Wooden farm set (Kiwico) – This farm set is adorable. I had to pull it out.

Little people farm set (fisher price) – This is the GOAT farm as far as Aryi is concerned. He loves it. I recommend this toy. 10/10

Kitchen – The kitchen will be living in the play area for now, so I thought I would mention it.

Halloween – I pulled out the Halloween basket and toys so we can get read for Halloween.

Sensory Bins:

Farm – I threw a toob of farm toys into our old tub of green rice “grass” for our farm theme this week.

Dinosaurs (Knowledge Crate) – I am just leaving out this dinosaur sensory bin indefinitely.

Weather (Knowledge Crate) – I will also be leaving this out indefinitely.

Play foam – I can not believe this foam is still good. Aryi has been playing with it since Easter. I will leave it out as long as it is good.

Halloween – I put out our Halloween sensory bin with our Halloween basket and books, so we can start getting into the spirit.

Aryi’s Homemade Play dough – I will be leaving this out until it goes bad. He loves that he made it

Homeschool Cart:

We have an alphabet shelf, an extra things to do shelf, and the top shelf holds our current playing preschool curriculum, morning binder, and activities as well as the books we will need.

Check out my playlists. I have number playlists, letter playlists, and a morning binder playlists.
